「A Web-Based Video Editor」ということで、任意のビデオ（.wmv, .avi, .mov, .divx, etc）を編集できる。最大25MBまで扱えるようだ。ケータイで撮ったビデオや音声をaccount-name@eyespot.com宛てにMMSメッセージングで送って、このサイトでトリミングしたり、つなぎ合わせたり、REMIXしたりできる。特殊効果の挿入など凝った機能は無い。将来の実装になるのだと思う。操作面ではドラッグ＆ドロップが使えるのでWindows Movie Makerとさして変わらないのがよい。
完成したビデオはケータイに送り返すなり、eyespotでそのままvlog - VideoBlogとして使える。このVideoBloggingが簡単にできる点が非常に気に入った。GoogleVideoとかYouTubeとかVimeoを使うより遥かに簡単で洗練されている。昨年夏の住吉神社例大祭のケータイビデオを使ってちょっと試してみた。
Vlogは日本語が文字化けすることがあるのが残念。個人的には、三洋電機XactiとかVodafone+Yahoo Japanあたりが、VideoBlog用モデル（デジカメ、ケータイ）を出してくれて、さらにこういうサイトを合わせて立ち上げてくれればいいんだけどなーと願っております。
